Plastic Oceans

OCEAN CONSERVANCY

Insight: People can’t see how much trash is in the ocean.

Big Idea: Trash is replacing marine life.

VR Campaign

In efforts to bring more awareness to our marine conditions, Ocean Conservancy has created a campaign to allow people to explore the depths of our oceans from their homes. With this campaign, Ocean Conservancy hopes to inspire people to reduce their single-use plastic intake for a healthier future for our oceans.

Ocean Conservancy has created a Virtual Reality diving experience.

Ocean Conservancy has created a Virtual Reality diving experience.

Dive directly into the ocean.

As the person explores the ocean, plastic bags, bottles, straws, and other single-use products gradually begins to appear throughout the ocean.

More and more plastic will fill the ocean to reflect the amount of plastic in the most polluted regions of our oceans. Swim past powerful messages with shocking facts about ocean pollution.

Reach out and interact with marine animals struggling to survive in the polluted conditions. Help save their lives by removing any plastic entangling them with your own hands.

Before exiting the VR experience, a message to reinforce the need to reduce your single-use plastic intake appears.

Lastly, another message from the Ocean Conservancy appears to encourage users to take action.
